2006 Ibex Bouldering Festival Results

The Ibex bouldering festival went great! Approximately 50 people showed up. Everyone had a great time, the weather was good, we had lots of good food and we pulled hard! Many thanks to all the volunteers that made everything run smoothly. Also thank you very much to all our sponsors. Finally, thanks to everyone who showed up and cranked hard... we hope you all had a great time. Next year we are hoping to have another Ibex bouldering festival. If so, the news will be posted on this site.

Above are a couple of pictures taken during the festival.

Guest Celeberities

A long time dark horse of California Climbing, the legendary Craig Britton (aka The Captain) will be a guest at the 2006 Ibex Valley Bouldering Festival. Craig brings a wealth of expertise and lore through his 40 odd years of living and breathing climbing. It is his third climbing visit to the Yukon; his other visits involved first ascents at the Rock Gardens, Golden Canyons and an attempt on Logan.

Another possible guest is the venerable Will Gadd, master mixed climber and paraglider. We hope he is able to attend the Festival

Sponsors

Sponsors have stepped up to the plate for this year's Ibex Bouldering Festival. Coast Mountain Sports will be providing door prizes, Alpine Bakery and Wild Things is donating the eats, and Equinox Rocks will be giving out some free passes to their phat facility.
